Trust & standards
How we vet the specialist we recommend
When we say a specialist is "vetted," we mean it — and we're willing to show our work. Here is the standard the Austin foundation company we partner with has to meet and keep meeting.
- Verified business entity Active status with the Texas Secretary of State / Comptroller.
- General liability insurance A current certificate of insurance on file.
- Workers' compensation Verified where the company has employees.
- Licensed engineer involvement Works with or employs a licensed Texas Professional Engineer (PE) for structural repair designs.
- Verified references Completed-job references and confirmation of work performed.
- Review threshold A strong, consistent review record across Google and the BBB.
- Clean complaint record No unresolved BBB or Texas Attorney General complaints.
- Documented warranty Written, honored warranty terms — and clarity on what transfers to a new owner.
- Ongoing commitment Written agreement to maintain all of the above for the duration of our partnership.
Why we publish this
Two reasons. First, it keeps us honest: a public standard is one we can be held to. Second, in Texas, telling you a company is "trusted" or "vetted" is a representation we take seriously — so we document it. If a partner ever falls short of these standards, they don't stay a partner.
This page describes our vetting process and is not a guarantee of any specific outcome on your project. Always review a contractor's credentials and contract yourself before hiring.
Frequently asked questions
What does "vetted" mean at TrueLevel?
It means the specialist we connect you with meets a documented, public standard: a verified Texas business entity, general liability insurance, workers compensation where applicable, licensed Professional Engineer involvement for structural designs, verified references, a strong review record, a clean complaint history, and a written warranty.
Is the foundation specialist licensed and insured?
Yes. Before we refer a company we verify an active Texas business entity, a current general liability certificate of insurance, and workers compensation coverage where the company has employees.
Is a licensed engineer involved in the repairs?
Yes. Our partner works with or employs a licensed Texas Professional Engineer (PE) for structural repair designs.
What happens if a partner stops meeting your standards?
They do not stay a partner. The standard is an ongoing written commitment, and if a partner falls short of it, we end the partnership.
Is your vetting a guarantee of the outcome on my project?
No. This page describes our vetting process; it is not a guarantee of any specific outcome. Always review the contractor credentials and contract yourself before hiring.
