About
An engineer-led take on Austin foundations
TrueLevel exists because foundation repair is one of the most stressful, opaque, and expensive things a Central Texas homeowner can face — and most of the information out there is written to sell, not to explain.
Who's behind it
Austin Archuleta founded TrueLevel to give Central Texas homeowners straight, engineer-informed answers about foundation repair. He studied civil engineering at the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin — consistently ranked among the nation's top civil engineering programs — and pairs that training with a real-estate perspective on how foundation issues affect home value. His focus is translating Central Texas soil science and structural realities into decisions homeowners can actually use.
How we think about foundation repair
Three principles guide everything here:
- Diagnose before you sell. The cause of movement — soil, drainage, plumbing — determines the right fix. We explain causes, not just products.
- Real local numbers. Austin sits on expansive clay; national cost averages undershoot reality. Our figures reflect Central Texas.
- Independence. We're not a contractor. We connect you with one vetted specialist and tell you plainly how that works.
How we make money
TrueLevel is free for homeowners. We're compensated by the vetted specialist we partner with — which is exactly why our vetting standards are public. Read how we vet specialists and how the connection works.
